Ingredients
  

For the Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets 6 oz each
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

For the Lemon Butter Cream Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half for a lighter option
  • ½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for spice
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

For Garnish & Serving:

  • Lemon wedges
  • Extra fresh parsley
  • Steamed vegetables mashed potatoes, or rice (optional)

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Salmon

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.
  • Pat salmon fillets dry and rub with olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Place salmon fillets in the baking dish and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until salmon is opaque and flaky (internal temperature 145°F/63°C).

Step 2: Make the Lemon Butter Cream Sauce

  • While the salmon is baking, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in chicken broth, lemon juice, lemon zest, Dijon mustard, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
  • Bring to a simmer, then add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly.
  • Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 3: Assemble & Serve

  • Remove salmon from the oven and drizzle with the lemon butter cream sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
  • Serve warm with steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice.
