  • 9x13-inch Baking Dish
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Mixing spoon or spatula
  • Measuring cup (soup can works too)
  • Oven

Ingredients
  

  • 4 –6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup long grain white rice uncooked
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can 10.5 oz water (use soup can to measure)
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste optional
  • Chopped parsley for garnish optional

Instructions
 

Preheat oven:

  • Set oven to 300°F (150°C).

Prepare baking dish:

  • Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray.

Combine base ingredients:

  • In the dish, stir together uncooked rice, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, and water.

Add chicken:

  • Place chicken breasts on top of the rice mixture. Season with a little salt and pepper, if desired.

Top with onion mix:

  • Sprinkle dry onion soup mix evenly over the top.

Cover and bake:

  • Cover dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 3 hours. Do not remove the foil during baking.

Serve:

  • Remove from oven, uncover, fluff rice, and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
