Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chunks

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

Step 2: Combine Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, rolled oats, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Step 3: Mix and Add Chocolate

  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chunks, milk chocolate chips, and dark chocolate chunks.

Step 4: Chill the Dough (Optional for Best Texture)

  • Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for richer flavor).

Step 5: Bake the Cookies

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Scoop 2-3 tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are slightly soft.

Step 6: Cool & Serve

  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Enjoy warm with milk or store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
