Ingredients
  

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin slices
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Pasta & Sauce:

  • 10 oz pasta penne or fettuccine works best
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for spice
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

For Garnish & Serving:

  • ¼ cup fresh basil chopped
  • Extra Parmesan cheese
  • Red pepper flakes optional

Instructions
 

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Chicken

  • Season the chicken slices with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic and red pepper flakes for 30 seconds.
  • Stir in sun-dried tomatoes, tomato paste, and Italian seasoning.
  • Pour in chicken broth and scrape the skillet to deglaze.
  • Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, onion powder, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.
  • Let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens.

Step 4: Combine Everything

  • Add the cooked pasta and chicken back into the skillet.
  • Toss everything together and let simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Adjust seasoning if needed.

Step 5: Serve & Garnish

  • Remove from heat and top with fresh basil, extra Parmesan, and red pepper flakes.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
