  • 2 pounds ground beef 80/20 recommended
  • 1 packet 1 oz Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • ¾ cup breadcrumbs plain or Italian style
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt optional
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme optional
  • ½ cup chopped onions optional, for extra texture
  • ½ cup ketchup for topping, optional

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven:

  • Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

Mix the Ingredients:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, black pepper, and any optional seasonings.
  • Use clean hands or a spatula to mix until well combined.

Shape the Meatloaf:

  • Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan or shape it into a free-form loaf on a baking sheet.
  • If desired, spread ½ cup of ketchup evenly over the top for a glaze.

Bake the Meatloaf:

  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  • Halfway through baking, you can tent it with foil to prevent excessive browning.

Rest and Serve:
