Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can 15 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 can 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 cup diced potatoes optional
  • 1 cup diced carrots optional

Instructions
 

  • Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  • Add diced onions and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
  • Transfer the beef mixture to the crock pot.
  • Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Stir to combine.
  • If using, add diced potatoes and carrots.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • Serve hot with rice, pasta, or bread.
