Ingredients
  

For the Pasta & Beef:

  • 10 oz pasta penne, fettuccine, or rigatoni
  • 1 lb ground beef 85% lean
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

For the Creamy Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream or half-and-half for a lighter option
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for heat
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard for extra depth of flavor

For Garnish & Serving:

  • ¼ cup fresh parsley chopped
  • Extra Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions
 

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Ground Beef

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add ground beef, season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika, and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  • Remove excess grease if necessary, then set the beef aside.

Step 3: Make the Creamy Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in Italian seasoning, beef broth, and heavy cream.
  • Bring to a gentle simmer, then add Parmesan cheese, mozzarella, Dijon mustard, and red pepper flakes.
  • Stir continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 4: Combine & Serve

  • Return the ground beef to the pan and mix well.
  • Add the cooked pasta, stirring until fully coated in the sauce.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
