  • Large Skillet For preparing the meat sauce.
  • Small Saucepan For making the spiced butter sauce.
  • Mixing Bowls For yogurt sauce and other preparations.
  • Colander For draining pasta.
  • Cooking Utensils Such as wooden spoon, spatula, and ladle.

Ingredients
  

For the Pasta:

  • 8 ounces 225g shell pasta or your preferred shape 
  • Salted water for boiling 

For the Meat Sauce:

  • 1 pound 450g ground beef or lamb
  • 1 medium onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes optional
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste 
  • ¼ cup water 
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Garlic Yogurt Sauce:

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt 
  • 1 clove garlic grated or minced 
  • Salt to taste

For the Spiced Butter Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon paprika 
  • 1 teaspoon dried mint 

For Garnish:

  • Chopped fresh parsley
  • Cherry tomatoes halved

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Meat Sauce:

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • Stir in the ground meat, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned.
  • Add paprika, cumin, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Stir in tomato paste and water, combining thoroughly. Let the sauce simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.

Prepare the Garlic Yogurt Sauce:

  • In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated garlic, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth.

Prepare the Spiced Butter Sauce:

  • In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add paprika and dried mint, stirring for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Assemble the Dish:

  • Place a serving of pasta on each plate. Top with a generous portion of the meat sauce.
  • Drizzle the garlic yogurt sauce over the meat. 
  • Spoon the spiced butter sauce on top. 
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and halved cherry tomatoes. 

Serve Immediately:

  • Enjoy this dish warm for the best flavor and texture.
